Fleet telematics for your trucks

Truck telematics is a system in which a device installed in the vehicle collects data from the truck and sends it to your office remotely. Besides GPS position, it delivers CAN/FMS bus readings, DDD files from the tachograph and fault codes. Dispatchers see the state of the fleet without visiting the vehicle.

GPS only shows where a vehicle is, while fleet telematics also sends data from the vehicle itself. That includes fuel level and consumption, mileage, fault codes and tachograph files. You see all of it in a browser, from anywhere.

Yes, fleet monitoring works in Europe and beyond, including on long cross-border routes. You see live position and route history whichever country the truck is in. The data reaches the office over the mobile network.

Remote tachograph download pulls DDD files from the tachograph and driver cards automatically, so nobody has to visit the vehicle. We store the files in case of a roadside check. Downloads start once the device is installed in a vehicle with a tachograph.

Driver card data must be downloaded at least every 28 days and vehicle unit data at least every 90 days. These EU maximums are set by Commission Regulation (EU) No 581/2010, Art. 1(3); in Poland, Art. 48(1) of the Act of 5 July 2018 on tachographs implements them. ONYX telematics downloads both file types automatically.

ONYX telematics reads fault codes on DAF, IVECO Stralis, MAN and VDL vehicles. Codes reach the office while the truck is on the road, together with its position. You know what happened and where the truck is before you pick a workshop.

Yes, but only on DAF XF F7 trucks. When a fault limits engine power, clearing the code remotely often lets the driver reach the workshop without a tow truck. On IVECO Stralis, MAN and VDL vehicles we read fault codes remotely but don't clear them.

Plug&Play installation takes about 5 minutes: the device goes into the FMS or OBD socket, with no cable cutting. You book it through the form on this page. The vehicle then appears on the map and remote DDD downloads start.

Yes. Vans, passenger cars and other vehicles without a tachograph connect through the OBD socket, which gives you location, route history and remote ignition lock in the same panel as your trucks.
